Taylormade believes that there are 3 key adjustment factors on a driver that are crucial to optimizing your maximum distance potential, which they like to call the ’3 dimensions to distance’, and they are loft (launch angel), face angel and flight path.
So as well as improving the aerodynamic qualities of the R11 driver for faster clubhead speeds, they have also tweaked the adjustable components so that you can now independently set the loft, face angel and flight path with up to 48 different combination’s to perfectly match your individual swing style, making the Taylormade R11 driver the most customizable golf driver ever created!
The adjustable component that affects launch angel is called ‘Flight Control Technology’ (FTC) and this enables you to increase or decrease the loft angel by up to 1 degree. The adjustments can be made in 0.5 degree increments, giving you a total of 8 different FTC positions.

‘Adjustable Sole Plate’ (ASP) is the name given to the component that enables you to adjust the face angel. With 3 settings this new technology allows you to either open or close the clubface by 2 degrees, or leave it in a neutral position, which means you can now independently tune the face angel without changing the loft or launch angel.
The final adjustment factor is the ‘Movable Weight Technology’. This component allows you to fine tune the center of gravity location in the Taylormade R11 Driver by using 2 different adjustable weights that are secured into the heel and toe ends of the driver which helps to promote either a draw or a neutral ball flight path, and provides up to 25 yards of left to right adjustability.
