If you shorten your backswing, you will have more control of the club, which in turn, will give you better control of your chip shot. As you start your downswing, you need to accelerate the club through impact.

The next chipping golf tip is crucial to your success. For best results, pick a spot on the green as your target. To be successful, you need to hit a low shot, and roll it to the pin. The exceptions are, if you need to hit your ball over and object or bunker.
