GPS units are reaching into many areas of our lives. One popular application in the sports arena is in the sport of golf. A GPS golf rangefinder uses a powerful microprocessor, GPS, and satellite-based accuracy enhancement technology. Many of these units can automatically calculate, as you move, distances to up to forty targets per hole simultaneously in less than a second. You will already have your number when you get to your ball.
Callaway iQ GPS/Range Finders

The iQ Rangefinder with new LCD technology is the most advanced Laser Rangefinder for tour caddies and players. IQ’s Active Brightness Control Viewfinder is designed to offer the advantages of both conventional LCD and LED display in order to provide better visibility and contrast in varying light conditions. Weighing less than 1/2 lb., the iQ fits in your pocket and is capable of ranging more than 1/2 mile. iQ will calculates distances to the targets based on slope data as well as the actual distance to the target, taking the guesswork out of your club choice and speeding up play. Both distances are locked into the reticle by acquiring your distance and releasing the power button. The iQ has a measurement range of 11-915yds.
You don’t need a clear line of sight or reflective target with a GPS golf rangefinder. Because the targets are pre-programmed, a GPS golf rangefinder eliminates the need to aim through a lens, accidentally hitting the wrong target on a hole, or trying to hit a pin with a laser beam at 200 yards.
With a GPS golf rangefinder you can get accurate measurements over hills, trees, and obstructions to any target. So you can play confidently and knock strokes off your game. Learn how far you hit your drive, 5-iron, 9-iron, or wedge with a touch of a button. Just let your GPS golf rangefinder see the sky, and it’ll do all the yard work for you! These units are very lightweight and can go anywhere you go. Now your game can measure up, just like your GPS golf rangefinder.
If you play numerous golf courses you will find that on a well marked course, a GPS golf rangefinder is right on the money. A GPS golf rangefinder will not give you exact yardage to the pin but instead gives you center, front, and back of the green. With a pin sheet or flag colors to tell you approximate location of the pin, you can get a very accurate distance for your shot. The real value is when you need distance and are not in the fairway (without yardage marked by the golf staff). If you cannot see the pin, standard laser range finders are useless. A GPS golf rangefinder does not need line of sight. Like most rangefinders, the real value is for distances outside of 100 yards. Inside of that, most of us have to use some amount of feel anyway. Plus close up, you can see where the pin is anyway. You ill love using a GPS golf rangefinder, especially if you play lots of different courses around your area.
Callaway LR 550 GPS/Range Finders

The Callaway LR 550 rangefinder provides quick and accurate distance measurement up to 550 yards (500 meters). Features First Target Priority Mode, allowing you to measure the distance to the pin on a green with woods in the background. 6x Magnification
A GPS golf rangefinder just might be the best thing you take with you to the course this season. A GPS golf rangefinder will be the most enjoyable and useful product you will use. Accurate to within one yard with instantaneous readings, a GPS golf rangefinder will improve your play by providing you with accurate distances and allow you to select your shots by knowing distances to various key locations on each hole. Not only does a GPS golf rangefinder allow you to pinpoint flag locations to within one yard on each hole, but of equal importance a GPS golf rangefinder provides you with yardage information on distances to sand traps, water and any other point you so choose. A GPS golf rangefinder also allows you to track the distances of each shot to build a profile of your yardages for each club hit. Once you start using your GPS golf rangefinder, you won’t be able to imagine playing without it.
A GPS golf rangefinder is such a powerful tool and before you spend any money on a more expensive driver or set of clubs you should try a GPS golf rangefinder. What an advantage you will have over others in your foursome when you are using your GPS golf rangefinder.

Callaway has reached a new level of performance in a forged iron, offering avid players the chance to play with irons featuring all the benefits of a Tour-level set. These clubs provide golfers the best distance they have ever seen in a Callaway forged iron with unprecedented feel, accuracy and forgiveness.
Callaway RAZR X HL / RAZR X Black Combo Iron Set

The Callaway RAZR X HL /RAZR X Black Combo set features RAZR X HL hybrids in place of the long irons and RAZR X black irons to fill out the set. The hybrids feature a clubhead with an innovative Zero Roll Design for higher launches and faster speeds. The Agressive VFT Technology increases the size of the sweet spot and generates hotter ball speeds for longer distance. The RAZR X Black features the Callaway’s RAZR Technology. The center of gravity is lower in this model than in any other Callaway stainless steel iron. This provides the playability of a wide sole iron while retaining the workability of a thin sole iron. The VFT Power System precisely positions the Center of Gravity and creates a face on each iron that maximizes ball speed. The Black PVD Finish produces a distinctive stealth look for reduced glare and strong appeal in the bag.
In developing the new Callaway RAZR X irons, Callaway engineers have once again take iron performance to a new level by introducing revolutionary new RAZR technology to create an iron with maximum power and extreme forgiveness. Most iron golf clubs today are designed to maximize one specific performance benefit – distance, forgiveness or feel – while sacrificing all other critical areas needed to hit more greens. That’s why RAZR Technology is such a breakthrough.
The sleek new Callaway RAZR X Irons advance the design of X-series predecessors by strategically removing weight found in the sole and notch weighting system and repositioning it lower and deeper in the club head than ever before, repositioning mass from elsewhere in the cavity into the RAZR feature which weighs 30 grams and positioned low and deep in the cavity.
RAZR X irons feature a lower, deeper center of gravity and a consistently hot face for distance and accuracy. In head-to-head tests, the new Callaway RAZR X irons are 56% more accurate than a competitor’s iron that chases distance at the cost of accuracy. Tighter Shots, Shorter Putts, Lower Scores.
The soft, carbon steel body is perimeter weighted for enhanced playability and combines with a precision welded 455 Carpenter Steel face to provide incredibly soft, responsive feel at impact.
The sleek, compact head shape features a thin top line, narrow sole, shorter blade length and minimal offset, providing premium control and shot-shaping performance for a wide range of golfers.
The irons generate better distance than other forged clubs because of a lower, deeper center of gravity that promotes a strong, penetrating trajectory. The undercut cavity improves stability on off-center hits and the thin, energy-efficient face increases ball speeds.
Golfers’ review:
Personally I think the shape of these irons is very nice, looking at them from address is nice, as is the size of the topline. Its a little bit big, but not so much that it is an eyesore. The weight is positioned nicely around the perimeter of the club too. All in all I would say it is a nice set of cavity backs.
It is a super game improvement iron to me. Better looking to me than a Cobra S2 or Burner Superlaunch, and as the Fusion Wide Sole was a popular iron with a lot of technology that’s helped many people play better golf.
The irons look sweet… Not too different than the X Forged, but the cavity is different. Looks good.
That is a very beautiful club. I am sure that this supermodel of a club won’t just stand there and look pretty, I bet it would cook for you too… cook the ball right down the middle.
Nice lines, sleek looking like a vette and hotter than a two dollar pistol. Seriously I think the entire new line of razr irons will make a solid impression for all skill levels this coming season!

You will be delighted to hear that the eagerly awaited new Taylormade R11 Golf Driver has finally arrived and is ready for purchase. This beast of a club is the next generation up from Taylormade’s already highly successful R9 Driver, and possesses a brand new set of design and technological enhancements that claim to help you add at least an extra 6 yards to your drives.

The Taylor Made R11 driver is the ultimate in driver optimization. It has many of the features of the R9 driver, but with an Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) which allows the club to sit on the ground precisely the way that fits the player’s eye the best. Movable Weight Technology (MWT) allows the player to create either draw-biased or neutral weighting, while Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows the player to adjust the face angle, the lie angle and effective loft by simple shaft/head adjustments with 8 different clubhead positions to choose from. The flat-white finish of this 440cc titanium driver provides a clean top line that allows for improved alignment and less visual distraction. The TP version is the same head as the standard R11 but with upgraded shaft options.
Taylormade believes that there are 3 key adjustment factors on a driver that are crucial to optimizing your maximum distance potential, which they like to call the ’3 dimensions to distance’, and they are loft (launch angel), face angel and flight path.
So as well as improving the aerodynamic qualities of the R11 driver for faster clubhead speeds, they have also tweaked the adjustable components so that you can now independently set the loft, face angel and flight path with up to 48 different combination’s to perfectly match your individual swing style, making the Taylormade R11 driver the most customizable golf driver ever created!
The adjustable component that affects launch angel is called ‘Flight Control Technology’ (FTC) and this enables you to increase or decrease the loft angel by up to 1 degree. The adjustments can be made in 0.5 degree increments, giving you a total of 8 different FTC positions.

‘Adjustable Sole Plate’ (ASP) is the name given to the component that enables you to adjust the face angel. With 3 settings this new technology allows you to either open or close the clubface by 2 degrees, or leave it in a neutral position, which means you can now independently tune the face angel without changing the loft or launch angel.
The final adjustment factor is the ‘Movable Weight Technology’. This component allows you to fine tune the center of gravity location in the Taylormade R11 Driver by using 2 different adjustable weights that are secured into the heel and toe ends of the driver which helps to promote either a draw or a neutral ball flight path, and provides up to 25 yards of left to right adjustability.
